Good chart to tell you, but still have some troble with getting the idea of first cousin/once removed or is it just second cousin Well have to try this with actual names of people in the family.

My Adkins Line starting with Mary Elizabeth
came across this obituary for Mary on ancestry so you need to be online connected with that site to see it Basically it tells of her being daughter of Nelson and Jane Adkins, born in 1859, married Jasper Sargent 1876. They had 7 children , one being my great grandfather James H Sargent.
